My daughter Margie turns 4 in a couple of weeks and she has been learning her alphabet and learning to print in Junior Kindergarten. At home we practice her printing and it often leads to me doodling characters in the letters, if you follow me on Facebook or instagram you have probably seen a few examples of this.
While Margie and I worked on her printing one evening I was inspired to start an interactive type based project, I am still working on this but I have created my own typeface as part of this project. My typeface is very simple in structure and is meant to look like the clean simple lines a child uses when first learning to print. The base style is below, but I have also created dashed style and an extensive glyph palette based on the characters I created in the banner image above
The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.
I will be updating this page as I progress through this project so check back often :)
